Here at the Italian Stallion we are hugely passionate about authenticity, quality, and service.
Pizza is a genuine personal passion of ours, so it's safe to say we've eaten (and of course made) a fair few! We have been lucky enough to dine on the best of the best, but also had a few that were not all that! This is not just a business, but also a hobby, and an obsession, so it is vital to us that we only produce the best! Each one is like a baby to us and we take great pride in what we do.
During the set up process we put a great deal of effort (if you can call it that... it was hardly strenuous) into sourcing, trying, and comparing a huge selection of ingredients available on the market. You cannot argue with the results of blind taste testing, and we used it to select the best of the best. We use dough made to an authentic Neapolitan recipe with a low salt content and no hidden nasties. We only use San Marzano tomatoes grown at the foot of Vesuvius for our pizza sauce, and delicious Fior di Latte mozzarella imported fresh weekly from Italy too! We also didn't stop at the basics, we are lucky enough to be based very close to Woodhouse Farm in Elmesthorpe, who produce fantastic quality Italian sausages for us, and source our veg from local growers where possible too.
We like to think we are a friendly bunch, and when you love what you do, service with a smile is inevitable. It is our pleasure to be lucky enough to be able to bring our pizza to the people, and we pride ourselves on going the extra mile wherever we can for private bookings.
